Navigating Gyms: Choosing A Gym, Etiquette and Communication

Gyms can be a wonderful experience or a nightmare. I always advocate a gym to invest in your own home computer. On the one hand, has all the equipment necessary for the kind of exercises that I support and many others that would cost a small fortune.

Secondly, the gym is not only valid for weights and machines. Staff at the gym (in fact, most experienced coaches) will offer free advice on how the exercises and most things fitness as a matter of courtesy. Personal trainers can provide indications too, but make sure you have someone experienced, passionate and qualified. There are many "degrees" crap that took place these days for people who just want to earn money.

Choose a gym

The gym should be very close to your living space. Travel long distances, day after day and you could sway their hips to abandon his plan. Make sure the gym is well equipped, and various machines and weights are available. Forming a gym, go during the high season (after work 17:00-18:30) and assess the availability of the equipment (ie tail are people at the door of the press leg?).

Even if you plan to go on for some time "off-peak as early in the morning or afternoon, it will give you a" feel "for its ability to move from one piece of equipment to another.

Regarding the cost goes, you'll want to get to a comfortable place between accessibility and service. Gym cheap will not give you everything you need, have restrictive hours, etc. A gym can give you premium stuff you do not need. A good tip here is to check all quasi-governmental gyms in your area who are generally well-equipped with a good relationship.

There is always the possibility of joining a sports brand. These types of gyms usually provide access to all other centers within a certain radius.

Gym Etiquette

Bring a towel to the gym to put on the seat or support of any equipment you use. This is even if the gym does not require for admission. Otherwise, make sure you give the proper equipment to clean (most gyms offer a sanitary paper towels and spray) after use. You can wipe before using if it seems a bit dubious. This is for your health and safety after all.

Do not spend much time on a useless piece of equipment. A good rule is max 4 sets of any exercise of any team. I've seen people 5 sets of dead lifts in the squat rack, then move to 5 sets of squats in the same rack. Any test can be about 20 minutes. Some people may be unaware of red faces all around them.

The only exception is the cardio machines, people generally accept a life of 30 minutes or more, and not enough supply to meet demand. If you follow my site, you do this kind of cardiovascular exercise anyway, it's a moot point.

Make sure that you have learned to execute a movement well before doing so. This is for your safety and that of others. This is not just about security, consider your reputation! People have smart phones now. You want to end up on YouTube because you use the salsa bar for some hamstring exercise you strange?

Presentation and Communication

People use all sorts of crazy clothes to the gym. This is not something to fear, unless you're some sort of aspiring model Instagram. If this is the case, go to an upscale fitness fashion and explain your situation to the customer service. All said and done, if you go to your local sports store and pick up the shorts and top right, you're ahead of the game from day 1.

If someone is on the piece of equipment to use, the usual polite question to ask is "how many games you have left?" They usually respond with the number of series and are now aware of the computer you want to use. This tends to lead to signaling so that when you do, so you can walk without fear of someone diving in front of you. Advice, do not stand there and give complete their games.
