Recently, I shared four of the worst lies that the industry continues to promote weight loss that have a direct negative impact on their ability to achieve their weight loss. However, these lies are just scratching the surface of why your attempts at weight loss at this stage have universally failed. Let me enlighten four of these dangerous lies:
Fact: The media in this too
George Orwell once said:. "People will believe that the media tells them they believe" Well he spoke communism in the 20th century, it is the same thing today the media of the 21st century. thousand times worse than the reality that faces Orwell the news cycle 24 hours of mainstream media continues to disagree not only with others, but the internet in general. Everybody is looking for the next bite his or panacea for conscious consumers.
What makes this worse is that the media fill their pockets with money from advertising. And those dollars come from the weight loss industry for one, and the food and medical industries for another. Whenever a member of the media called "health and fitness", recommends a product, system or solution, you can bet that there is money behind this approval. And the Internet is no better bloggers regularly receive products, subscriptions and benefits "comments" of big business.
Fact: The industry has lost its appeal
In the wake of its failure and the rapt attention of the media and the Internet to promote anything that will make viewers, the sad reality is that the industry of weight loss as a whole loses ground. Consider the following statistics:
Only in Australia, a country with a population of 22.6 million, only about 4 million people actually have a gym membership and of those, only one tenth is regularly use (in other words, often enough be effective!)
Despite new health companies and fitness permanently open, a staggering 80% of them fail within the first 12 months.
Most exercise programs are designed by and for those who are already in shape, away overweight people who believe that the achievements are beyond their capabilities. Worse, studies consistently show that the negative image of exercise and overweight people portrayed in shows like The Biggest Loser are much more likely to discourage people to get up and move.
And the industry is spread this attitude that many implicit association in these so-called show "professional" tests, a sense of grease them above normal prejudices. And the wound becomes stronger, they were in the field.
Despite a constant effort for greater respect in the industry of the ease with which people are able to achieve the certifications called "personal trainer" directly contradicts this and leads to a field full of people who do not understand that they are doing and are too afraid to admit it.
Reality: The crisis of confidence has been left unanswered
Most, if not all, obese people have tried (and succeeded) to lose weight in the past. Most new programs of health and fitness and sell these people know is not a real solution, but hope. They hope that this time the program will work. They also hope that this change will be quick and painless. The problem is they are not. Or not working fast enough or are painful and delivery truck with confidence lower than ever.
Fact: We love our fast food and our rapid weight loss
Culture industry of fast food has affected the weight loss at an alarming rate. Our attention span is short and our need for instant gratification infectious. We want fast results and new options for the industry to opt for dark proven solutions rather than all in an effort to reach the top of the stack, attract attention and make more money strategies. You have already tried (and failed) in its previous attempts, unless it is shiny and new, chances are you will not even start in the first place.
the truth
So what is the reward here? How to successfully lose weight and keep it off? Clearly, the industry does not contribute to. In fact, the only person you can. You need to find a program that recognizes this and puts you in control of your own weight loss.
