Best Battle Rope Workout to Burn Calories

Training rope battle are becoming more popular in the fitness world through circuits style training and new research on the negative effects of steady state cardio. According to all recent articles out there, you are able to burn large amounts of calories and fat while building muscle. It also has the advantage of being very low impact (since you're just standing virtually no impact). But can we believe the hype?

What does research say

Well, unfortunately there is a lot of research out there right now on the ropes of combat, so I took the liberty to do a little test for me to see how effective it can be. How I set up a HIIT training style using ropes of battle, and kept short and sweet just 10 minutes. I worked with maximal effort for 30 seconds, then took 30 seconds of active recovery (I got into the second recovery period 30). Using a heart rate monitor and my monitor Polar T4, here's what I found:

Training time (excluding heating and cooling): 10 Minutes
Calories burned: 149
Max. Heart Rate: 172
Notes: I also felt some serious burn in my arms and shoulders, and I could tell my heart was also a solid workout.

So what does this mean? Is this a good workout? Well, in terms of calories, which is an impressive workout for the duration. For HIIT training style, I would not recommend going over 30 minutes. Usually, if you can last more than 30 minutes, you could work harder. Thus, in 30 minutes, which corresponds to 447 calories, as well as any additional calories you burn in COPD varies but usually runs more than about 100-200. Please note, the battle rope training is a 30-minute workout session. Thirty minutes of battle ropes at full intensity burns as much, if not more calories than many popular forms of exercise can burn twice as long. It's a great tool for people with joint problems to perform high-intensity exercise, while maintaining the integrity of joints and limitation of joint pain. Battle Ropes also promote greater strength in the upper body and the catabolic effects limiting present at steady state cardio. In general, the battle rope training are looking for a new way of cardio and a great addition to any training program.
